Yellowstone General Stores has featured Pendleton Blankets since the early 1900’s. These limited-edition blankets capture the spirit of Yellowstone. We feature a new design each year. Our 2024 blanket features the Grizzly Bear.
Over 1,000 Grizzly Bears make Yellowstone National Park their home. Male grizzlies dominate the social hierarchy and make claim to the best food sources and habitats. Males can weigh up to 700 pounds and spend most of their time feeding. During Autumn (hyperphagia), they can gain up to 3 pounds per day until they head to the winter dens for hibernation.
